Fred Jones, 54, who had operated Jones Conoco Station here since 1937, died unexpectedly at his home 111 W. Wabash Ave Saturday afternoon. Mr. Jones was born Aug 30, 1912 near alamo a son of Fred and Dora Leota Peacock Cable Jones. He was married to Thelma Bowen May 16, 193? in Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville HS and attended Purdue University. Surviving are the widow; a nephew, Marvin Hamilton of Lake Wales, Fla and three aunts and three uncles. Mr. Jones’ business establishment will be closed Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at bright Funeral Home with Rev. Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
